Abstract:
The ICT training and educational needs in Burkina Faso were determined. The existing institutions for ICT training and education were enumerated and the levels of training and education programmes were assessed. It was found that these institutions are small in number and cannot accommodate sufficient students for the national needs of Burkina Faso. There is a need for higher education at the tertiary level. In addition, teaching staff is limited and more should be done to ensure the availability of qualified staff from overseas.
