Abstract:
In recent years, ICCO used a process known as the ProCoDe process (Programmatic approach, Co-responsibility and Decentralization) to encourage partners and civil society actors from the ‘South’ to participate in the formulation of ICCO’s policies and strategic choices and the implementation of the corporate strategy. This report reflects the experiences that ICCO has gained with its partner organizations from 2007 to September 2008 in 6 programmatic approach development processes: the Peacebuilding Programme, Liberia; Democratization and Rights to Land, Water and Territory Programme, Brazil; the Local Market Development Programme, Central Asia; the Sustainable Forest Management Programme, the Pacific; the Youth Security Programme, Central America; and, the Education Programme in Mali.
