Abstract:
The Development Policy Review Network is a network of development experts and policymakers in the Netherlands and Belgium who aim to reduce the gap between science, policy and development practice. In 2008, the DPRN Task Force decided to discuss the organization of Dutch international development. Generally, an effective international development effort requires an effective infrastructure and a number of effective policy instruments. To this end, members of the DPRN Task Force and some key players outside DPRN were interviewed. Subsequent discussions were elaborated and synthesized in this issue paper. Proposals are also made to bring the discussion to a conclusion in 2009.
