Abstract:
In this interview the prime minister of Haiti, Michelle Pierre-Louis, unfolds the short-term and long-term development plans for the country. The EU co-finances roads to enable farmers to bring their products to the market, including mangos, rice, coffee, flowers, medicinal plants. Health care, education, security and justice all need to be improved. She estimates that Haiti will need twenty years to bring the standard of living to an acceptable level and to evolve into a stable and democratic state.
