Abstract:
Despite Sudan’s predominance in the world market, the southern part of the country has not been able to participate in the gum acacia trade due to the lack of awareness of the importance of the product at the international level and the lack of access to the market. SNV’s interventions are focused on two impact areas related to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs): (a) eradicate extreme poverty and hunger; and (b) ensure environmental sustainability. This report discusses SNV's interventions, outcome and lessons learned.
