Abstract:
This book is a practitioners’ guide centring on practical experiences of development professionals, supplemented by theoretical considerations. The starting point for this practitioners’ guide is that Dutch development professionals should be aware of the correlation between religion and development. Consequently, it contains recommendations for collecting context-specific knowledge, acquiring a context-specific attitude and for taking context-specific action. The book is the result of the knowledge, experience and insight that the Knowledge Centre Religion and Development (KCRD) has gained since its establishment in 2006.
