Abstract:
Small-scale farmers, local farmer organizations, and other local entrepreneurs (such as traders and processors) benefit from advisory services with a business orientation. By helping these groups to access markets, financial and input supply services, as well as knowledge oriented to their particular value chains, local (agri)-
business development services (LBDSs) support innovation and entrepreneurship.
