Dr. Reham Said Ibrahim Abdelkader is an Associate Professor in the Pharmacognosy Department at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences with distinction and honors from Alexandria University (2006), a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2010), and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2014), both specializing in Pharmacognosy from Alexandria University, where she is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge in her field by teaching over 10 courses on chemistry and biology of medicinal natural products for under- and post-graduate students.
In 2022, she was honored with the prestigious Alexandria University Scientific Encouragement Award for young researchers under 40, a testament to her outstanding contributions to the field. Dr. Reham is an esteemed reviewer and editorial board member for leading international scientific journals, further solidifying her pivotal role in shaping the future of her discipline. Her expertise spans unveiling plant matrices’ complexity by metabolomics, their quality control, the pharmacological mechanisms of action of herbal drugs, and the discovery of novel drugs from natural products for therapeutic use. With over 50 publications, supervision of more than 20 M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses, and participating in over 10 international conferences, throughout the past 10-years, Dr. Reham has firmly established herself as a key figure in advancing both research and education in pharmaceutical and health sciences.
