Biography:
Abdulkareem M. Matar is an assistant professor and researcher in the Department of Animal Production, Faculty of Food Science and Agricultural, King Saud University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At the same university he teaches lactation physiology and genetics. He holds a bachelor's degree in animal production and a master's degree in Agricultural science " Animal Production" from King Saud University. He earned a PhD degree in animal production and poultry science from the University of King Saud.
His research interests include milk production systems, genes responsible for milk quality, the relationship between camel and sheep milk and human health. In recognition of his contributions to science and development, Abdulkareem M. Matar was a joint winner of second place in the scientific field 2021 at the 11th Scientific Meeting at King Saud University for a study on the identification of an ACAC gene and its association with unsaturated fatty acids the are beneficial to human health. In 2023, he also received the award at the first scientific meeting at the College of Agriculture, King Saud University.
