Fathi al-Dhafri worked and volunteered with many NGOs and CSOs, and he is currently a freelancer consultant and training specialist, as well as a steering committee member of US Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Alumni, Yemen Chapter, and a blogger for Change Weblog.
In addition to his studying in English Literature at Sana'a University, he has received professional training in Jordan, Italy, Yemen, and USA and a most recent one about new media Web 2.0 through the New Generation program in Jordan 2009.
Fathi has training skills in leadership, human rights, citizenship, and new media. He also has excellent skills in translation, marketing, communication, negotiation and dialogue in addition to project management, networking, advocacy, and systems analysis.
Fathi has participated in many conferences and workshops locally and internationally such as SCOs parallel Forum for the 4th Future Forum, Sana'a, Yemen 2007, MEPI First Alumni Regional Summit "Building a Network of Reformers" Dead Sea, Jordan 2008, Workshop on democratic governance for young leaders of the MENA region, Venice, Italy 2008, and US study tour in the program "Faith and Community: A Dialogue" 2009.
