Yasmine Aguib leads the Molecular Research group at the Aswan Heart Centre (Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation) where she also acts as deputy director of Research. She holds a Masters and a Doctoral Degree in Molecular Medicine and Biotechnology from the Technische Universität München (Germany) and holds currently an Honorary Research Fellowship at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London. Dr. Aguib is Co-PI in the Redox - Leducq Transatlantic Network since 2018. Her research interests are to better understand molecular determinants of Heart disease, its etiology and manifestation in the Egyptian and North African population and to contribute to the advancement of Genomic Cardiovascular Medicine in Africa and globally. Dr. Aguib is the founder of the GPx Network for genomic medicine and population Health.
