Fields of Interest

The object of the CA journal is to provide a forum for the publication of original and high quality scientific articles, conference proceedings, special issues conceptual framework, analytical and simulation models, case studies and reviewers with international creditability. Special issues devoted to important topics in the Coptic Studies will occasionally be published. It aims to publish investigations that contribute to the enlargement of knowledge or the advancement of the scholarly interpretation.

Generally, the journal welcomes all contributions in the field of the Coptic Studies including: Coptic language, history, archaeology, history of art, civilization aspects, religious studies, and conservation and preservation sciences. Moreover, multi-disciplinary topics relating to the Coptic studies in time and space such as: Arabic papyrology, Greek papyrology, related Islamic studies (such as Islamic-Christian dialogue), Greco-Roman archaeology, modern history of the Copts, Arabic Christian heritage, and etc.…

Currently, the journal is inviting papers for the Volume 1 which is scheduled to be published by the beginning of 2018.

Why a new Bulletin?

The announcement of establishing the Journal of Coptica Alexandrina CA comes with the sense of happiness and challenge. Happiness, because we are able to provide the readers of Coptic Studies Center with the first completely Egyptian journal dedicated to Coptic Studies, while the challenge lies in trying to sustain this journal and provide publications of high quality on an international scale. Of course, scientific support is asked from scholars and researchers all over the world in the field of Coptic Studies and all its related topics, to be able to continue producing this publication. With this journal, we are opening a new era of scientific publication in Egypt, designed to reach interested people all over the world, and to be refereed up to the international standards of excellence.
