The Fourth International Forum on Calligraphy, Writings and Inscriptions Throughout the Ages at the BA

Alexandria—The BA Calligraphy Center is organizing the Fourth International Forum on Calligraphy, Writings and Inscriptions, from 16 to 18 March 2009. The Forum’s theme will be “Coins in the World”.
The Forum aims to strengthen the dialogue that has been going on about the history of banknotes and coins, recognizing the different inscriptions and writings on coins in the world. It will be accompanied by an Exhibition entitled “Coins and Poetry K. Kavafis” from 16 to 31 March 2009.
The Forum will cover the following topics: the origin of coins, coin mintage, coins inscriptions and banknotes.
