Three Exhibitions Within the International Summer Festival

Within the activities of the Ninth International Summer Festival, the BA Arts Center holds three artistic exhibitions in an aim to nourish cultural and artistic movement in Alexandria.
Sixteen artists from Egypt, Greece, Italy, Cyprus and the Czech Republic participate in the Fifth Round of Alexandria International Symposium for Sculpture in Natural Material (3D Glass). It is preceded by a 15-day workshop, where artists work together to produce artworks that will be exhibited afterwards at the Plaza, and become a part of the BA permanent art collection. The opening of the Exhibition is on Thursday, 1 July 2010, and continues till 21 August 2010 at the BA Plaza.
Six eminent Alexandrian artists take part in the Resident Artist Exhibition - Fifth Meeting, contributing with artworks produced during their residency. The artists are: Farouk Wahba, Ahmed Abdel Wahab, Mohamed Salem, Medhat Nasr, Saied Hedaya, and Esmat Dawestashi, in addition to Artist Gustav Sparr from Sweden, who will donate three digital art prints to the BA. The opening of the Exhibition is on Thursday, 8 July 2010, and continue through 3 August 2010 at BACC West Exhibition Hall.
The First Time Exhibition- Fifth Meeting is a course discovering future artists with the purpose of enriching the art movement with renewable energies, and providing those promising talents with the support they need to hone their skills and creativity. The opening of the Exhibition is on Thursday, 8 July 2010, and continues till 7 August 2010, at the BACC East Exhibition Hall.
All three Exhibitions are open for public for free from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
