The BA Narrative Review Celebrates its Fifteenth Birthday

Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, congratulated the staff of the Library’s Narrative Review project on the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of its establishment in 2009. Dr. Zayed stated that he attaches great importance to this project, thus enabling it to continue and renew its work that serves Egyptian and Arab narratives and engages with Arabs and foreigners who are interested in this field from all over the world.
Dr. Mohamed Soliman, Head of the BA Cultural Outreach Sector, said that this year, the BA launched the “Narrative Notebooks” series, a remarkable project whose first issue was dedicated to Lebanese narratives. He also mentioned that the BA Narrative Review continued to issue reports on the state of Egyptian narratives, in cooperation with the Egyptian National Library and Archives and the Supreme Council of Culture.
Dr. Mounir Otaiba, Director and Founder of the BA Narrative Review, announced that during 2024, the project presented 65 events and open meetings with the participation of 400 creators and critics from Egypt and around the world.
