The Closing Ceremony of the Women’s Alexandria International Squash Open

The closing ceremony of the Women’s Alexandria International Squash Open, hosted by the BA, was held on Wednesday, 10 June 2015. Hany El-Messiry, Governor of Alexandria; Major General Mohamed El-Zamalot, GOC of the Northern Military Zone;
and Major General Mohamed El-Sharkawy, Head of the Alexandria Governorate Security Department were in attendance along with a huge audience.
The ceremony began with an exhibition match between Egyptian player, Mohamed El-Shorbagy, and French player, Grégory Gaultier, followed by a musical segment.
Several top female international squash players took part in the tournament. Two Egyptian players, Omnia Abd el-Kawy and Raneem El-Weleily, qualified for the final match which concluded with Raneem El-Weleily winning first place.
