The Bibliotheca Alexandrina concluded yesterday the 18th edition of “Sketch Your Future" conference that targets high school students, in the presence of almost 5000 attendees over three days, from 28-30 July 2024. The conference witnessed the participation of nearly 75 speakers who delivered more than 35 presentations on the different faculties, fields of study, areas of work after graduation, and the necessary skills that young people should acquire in order to be prepared for the labor market.

During the conference, the Library hosted a team from the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, who discussed the importance of volunteer work for community building and the development of young people’s skills.

A special session was also held on the importance of self-education and the acquisition of individual skills through distance learning. It presented examples from universities, international platforms, and websites of various international bodies that provide these skills.

It is worth noting that this conference comes as part of the Library’s interest in guiding and assisting high school students in selecting the college that suits their preferences and potentials.
