The Calligraphy Center at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is hosting the ‘Second Roundtable on Calligraphy and Writing’ consisting of six workshops that will discuss issues relevant to contemporary calligraphy and styles of writing. ‘Contemporary schools of calligraphy’ and ‘the role of the Media in promoting the education of calligraphy and writing’ are among the topics on the agenda.The roundtable will also host a number of researchers and artists in the fields of calligraphy and writing. The workshops will work on producing a calligraphy-teaching manual for students at the different stages of education.
