The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is hosting a roundtable celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the ‘Literature and Criticism’ magazine. The discussion will tackle several panels of thought: freedom of thought and expression, the renewal of religious speech and the theme of Alexandria throughout the issues of the magazine. A poetry recital evening will follow, during which Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina will give a commentary along with other poets and writers, like Dr. Gaber Asfour, Ahmed Abdel Mo’ty Heagzy and Edwar El Kharrat. The roundtable will be held in the Auditorium at the Entrance of the Library at 10:00 am and the poetry recital will follow at 6:00 pm.
