Adwar Initiative aims to promote youth empowerment and self development, and to make the best use of youth abilities. They believe in the effective role of youth to strengthen Egyptian economy, develop Egyptian industries and local products to enable Egyptian economy to cope with foreign economies. In the holy month of Ramadan, ‘Ramadan lanterns’ appear as an important manifestation of joy, and in the last few years, this industry has been receiving lesser attention. There has been a tendency to rely on importing them from China, Japan and other countries. The project revives this industry through manufacturing "Ramadan lantern", with simple materials, as a practical model to encourage entrepreneurship in Egypt.
