A gentle drama that begins with a teacher's arrival at a village school situated in the middle of the desert. The story elements pull from centuries of Middle Eastern lore and demonstrate the influence of the Arabian Nights. Legendary figures materialize out the dunes of sand. Khemir merely shows how legend, tradition and fate hang heavily over this community.
