The Queen of the Night chooses Prince Tamino to rescue her daughter Pamina who has been kidnapped by a wicked sorcerer, Sarastro. Three genii give Tamino a golden flute that will help him escape the perils of his journey.
The opera is in two acts composed by Wolfgang Mozart to a libretto by Emanuel Schikanaeder.
