The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Exploratorium hosts a series of events highlighting the contributions of several scientists in the DNA field. Collaborating with the British Council in Alexandria, the Exploratorium hosts several workshops, presentations and exhibition on the subject of the development of DNA since the cracking of its code in 1953.

- The DNA 50 Exhibition: An interactive experience that tells the story of research and breakthroughs in bioscience, starting with the double helix discovery. The inauguration of the exhibition will take place on the 30th of June, 2004, in the Middle Hall of the Conference Center, whereas the exhibition will be held at the Exploratorium, 1 July- 30 September 2004.

- Molecule Building: An interactive molecular model building.

- Science Cafe: An open debate on DNA and the ethical questions it raises, in an informal cafe atmosphere.

- Explore your own Fingertips: Find out how detectives can solve crimes through fingertips detection.

- Computer Games: Children will be able to build the DNA molecule by dragging the DNA nucleotides into their proper positions.

- 10 Minutes Fim: Featuring the story of DNA discovery, accompanied by scientist Maurice Wilkins (Nobel Prize in 1963, for DNA structuer). Arabic subtitles are shown.

- DNA Slide Show: A presentation on DNA chemical structure fingertips and genetic engineering.
