In celebration of the 2nd anniversary of the inauguration of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Arts Center is organizing and hosting a festival of artistic, musical and cultural presentations throughout the first two weeks of October.
The Arts Center presents a week of biographical and autobiographical movies. Films will be shown in the library's Auditorium at 7:30 pm.
- Monday 4: "Song of Schehrazad," directed by Miklos Rozsa (1974) and presented by Dr. Azza Madian. The Arts Center will also issue "Cinema Criticism in Britain," translated by Amir Al Amary.
- Tuesday 5: "Amadeus," directed by Milos Forman (1984) and presented by Maestro Sherif Mohie Eldin.
- Wednesday 6: "Caravaggio," directed by Derek Jarman (1986) and presented by Prof. Mostafa El Razaz.
- Thursday 7: "Chaplin," directed by Richard Attenborough (1992) and presented by Samir Al Hadary.
- Friday 8: "Shakespeare in Love," directed by John Madden (1998) and presented by Prof. Zeinab Raafat.
