Poetry evening on Aimé Césaire organized by the BA Francophone Library and l’agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), and moderated by Jean Jonassaint, Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies, Syracuse University, USA.
Aimé Césaire (26 June 1913 – 17 April 2008) was a Francophone poet, author and politician from Martinique, and one of the founders of the négritude movement in Francophone literature.
The event will be accompanied by an exhibition consisting of 12 panels to showcase his work.
