The conference aims at shedding light on the importance of the Egyptian North West Coast, from Alexandria to El Saloum, on the international tourism map. This importance derives from the fact that this region is considered to be among priorities of Egypt tourism development plans. Thus, the conference will allow discussion on this issue in an attempt to study and analyze the challenges and the opportunities of the development of such an area.

The conference will be conceived with the following objectives in view:

  • To reinforce the North West Coast’s importance on the international tourism map, by studying the tourist attractions, possible tourism forms, and the challenges facing tourism development in the region.
  • To brainstorm all related issues to the international tourism development of the Egyptian North West Coast.
  • Identifying the means of cooperation that should take place among governmental and NGOs and the private sector.
  • Providing a list of recommendations to all industry players to set this region on the international tourism map.
