The BA Writing and Scripts Center is holding a lecture which will be given by Dr. Farag el-Husseini, a researcher in the field of Islamic writings and inscriptions, as part of the October cultural season. Dr. Farag el-Husseini will speak about Islamic inscriptions in Gaza and their importance, and about their reality between ignorance of their value and the effect war has on them.
Dr. Farag El Husseini will clarify the role that Islamic antiquities play through inscriptions as a memory of Arab Islamic history in Palestine. He will also display the most important buildings rich in inscriptions, such as mosques and tombstones.
