The lecture, by Eleonora Vasta from the Marketing and Communication Office of the Piccolo Teatro of Milano, will include a brief introduction on the Piccolo Teatro of Milano and the great director, Giorgio Strehler, and a brief introduction to opera in general. The relation that Strehler had with Mozart's operas will also be explored through a presentation of the other operas he directed such as The Rape in the Serail, The Magic Flute, Nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni). Finally, she will explain the particularities of the direction of the opera, Cosi fan Tutte by Giorgio Strehler, that will be presented on 17 December 2004 in the Alexandria Opera House, as part of a larger cultural cooperation project between Italy and Egypt.
