A video conference by Prof. David Konstan in which he will discuss how the divine right of kings in Alexandria affected the Roman Emperors’ self-perception.Prof. Konstan will also discuss some of Callimachus’s poems, and he will talk about the legislative conflict that began in Kairouan and led to a change in Emperor Augustus’ image.The lecture will be given in English and simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
