A seminar about Abū ʿUbayd ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abd al-Azīz ibn Muḥammad al-Bakrī, also known as Zi al-Wezartein, an Andalusian scholar who specialized in Linguistics, Literature, and Genealogy. He also had extensive knowledge of botany and medicine and was the most prominent Andalusian geographer.
A three-minute long documentary, produced by Al Jazeera Documentary Channel, in which NASA commemorates the memory of Abu Obeid and his contributions to the field of geography by naming a moon crater after him, will be shown at some point during the seminar.
