The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is hosting the Natural Resource Policies in the Near East and North Africa: From Management to Governance Conference, International Food Policy Research Institute and the International Fund for Agricultural Development. The Conference is based on an innovative research program in various countries in the region, and will be an occasion to present and discuss a synthesis of the studies from other countries. The research includes innovative work on the measurement and determinants of rural community capabilities for natural resource management, and work on natural resource-based conflicts as well as understanding related policy making processes in various institutional settings.
