The exhibition attempts to explore Alexandria by touring different selected places, following the route of the tram. It traces the memories of the city through a multi-level approach to information relating to the historical and cultural background of Alexandria. The thoughts and feelings of famous poets and writers, who lived in Alexandria, are incorporated into this exhibition to give us a sense of the atmosphere that prevailed in the 19th  and 20th  centuries. Old Alexandrian atmosphere is conveyed through every possible means: photographic pictures, audio and video films, written texts, narration, recitation, music, even tastes and smells, where possible.
