This exhibition will be held as a celebration of a significant year in Egyptian history, as it will showcase the political and military events, such as the nationalization of the Suez Canal and the Suez Canal crisis, in addition to the Egyptian economic, social and cultural conditions.
The exhibition has been held previously and the plaques were also on display at the Egyptian Cultural Center in Paris.
The exhibition will include BA resources, CEDEJ archive materials, AUC resources, the Dominican Institute for Oriental Studies archive, as well as online resources provided by the Centre d’Études Alexandrines (CEAlex). The exhibition will also make use of some foreign resources, including the Lebanese newspaper L’Orient-Le Jour and Tunisian national documents.
The exhibition will showcase images and almost 40 tableaus containing texts, maps, newspaper clippings, stamps, advertisement and film posters, as well as audio and visual items.
