The BA Antiquities Museum organizes a lecture, titled “Sistra and Zodiac Signs: Hathor Temple in Dendra”, on Tuesday, 31 July 2018, 1:00 pm, F3 Floating Room, BA Main Building.
The lecture is delivered by Dr. Ayman Wahby, Department of Egyptology, Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University. He will discuss the archaeological and cultural history of Dendera Temple, explain the temple’s architecture and the astronomical ceiling of the large hypostyle hall with the crown of Hathor in the shape of a sistrum, and describe the intricate restoration process that revealed the original colors of the temple’s engravings.
