This lecture will be held by the BA Alex-Med Center and will be delivered by Dr. Mohamed Abd el-Ghany, Professor of Greco-Roman Civilization at the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University. The lecture comes within the First Cultural Season to be organized by Alex-Med, titled “Alexandria: A Cultural Center for the Dissemination of Science and Civilization through the Ages in Egypt and the Mediterranean Basin”. The cultural season is set to continue until mid-2018.
The selection of this season’s topic is in line with the BA’s interest in spreading awareness and combating extremism with enlightened thought. The lectures included in the cultural season will deal with the following topics: educational institutions and the dissemination of culture, science and identical thought; the scientific and cultural achievements of scientists and thinkers, the fusion of Eastern and Western sciences and the scientific and academic exchange, the impact of science and culture on society.
