As part of the project “Cycling as a Mode for Transportation in Africa”, funded by Future Earth Foundation, the BA Alexandria and Mediterranean Research Center (Alex Med), in collaboration with the BA International School of Information Science (ISIS) and “Tabdeel” initiative, organizes an event entitled “Virtual Reality Cycling”. It will be held on Monday and Tuesday, 15 and 16 April, 2019 from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm in the BACC open area on B1.
In this event, participants will be encouraged to use virtual reality technologies to simulate the experience of cycling on the Corniche of Alexandria via a proposed design of a 3D model of a cycling lane on the Corniche. They will use a fixed bike and wear all the special equipment of the VR technology, which will allow them to experience the true sense of cycling on a 3D lane designed for the Corniche. The event is open for public through registration at the event’s venue.
