Conference: The Sixth Arab Reform Conference- “The Arab World: Present and Future”

Hosting participants from different Arab countries: scholars, writers, intellectuals, activists, researchers, journalists, representatives of NGOs as well as others, the Conference will address four themes: A Changing Arab World in a Changing Planet; Regional Interactions; The Citizen, the State and the Society; and Culture and Media in the Arab World. Several sub themes will be discussed in parallel sessions and workshops including fundamentalism and modernization; environmental problems; global financial crisis; domestic political conflicts; Arab economic integration; the role of the League of Arab States; civil rights; status of Arab women; and religious discourse, among others.
