Kavafia 2009 is held in cooperation with the Greek Cultural Center in Cairo, the Greek communities of Cairo and Alexandria, the Greek Cultural Foundation in Alexandria, and the BA Alex Med. This biennial celebration honors the memory and works of the great Alexandrian poet Konstantinos Kavafis.
