This conference is organized by the BA in collaboration with the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and the Arab Federation of Libraries and Information (AFLI).
The conference will be held under the theme “Arab Libraries Keeping Abreast of the Continual Information Environment” and is based on the IFLA Trend Report, which identifies the five high-level trends that can facilitate access to information and learning.
It will address several topics concerning library development in the Arab region, such as modern techniques, the impact of technology, latest communication media, and electronic content. Distinguished presenters from IFLA and the Arab Region will be in attendance during the conference.
The IFLA-AFLI conference includes an exhibition featuring a number of renowned entities, such as Naseej (Arabian Advanced Systems), Dar Al-Mandumah, Al-Manhal /Techknowledge, IEEE/Alex Center for Multimedia and Libraries (ACML), Kwarim and EBSCO.
