The BA is organizing a discussion circle as a part of the Support to Cultural Diversity and Creativity in Egypt project, which is co-funded by the European Union.
The discussion will be held at the High Institute of Folklore, the Academy of Arts in Giza, and will be attended by specialists in the field of folklore, scholars, artists, the media, and representatives of governmental, civil, and international institutions.
The debate will address important methodological issues facing Egyptian folklore, how to revive and maintain the folkloric culture, identifying the significant issues facing the Egyptian cultural movement at the moment, and recommending an effective cultural policy for the forthcoming period.
