The BA Alex-Med Center is organizing a lecture on the restoration works conducted on Al-Azhar Mosque to be delivered by Professor Saleh Lamei, Professor of Architecture and Director of the Center for Conservation and Preservation of Islamic Architectural Heritage.
The Center for Conservation and Preservation of Islamic Architectural Heritage has been tasked with preparing a comprehensive plan for the restoration of Al-Azhar Mosque, together with establishing the basic principles and strategies of the restoration and preservation process, in accordance with international standards.
Al-Azhar Mosque is considered to be a significant monument for all Muslims, not only in Egypt, but around the world as well, since its establishment over 1000 years ago.
