This seminar is organized by the BA Center for Calligraphy Studies. The seminar will deal with the different types of Arabic writings and inscriptions that appeared in different locations around the Islamic world, such as Andalusia (modern-day Spain and Portugal), the cities though which the Silk Road passes in Central Asia, as well as Greece while it was under Ottoman rule, in addition to the development of Arabic writing and scripts in Egypt.
