The Alexandria and Mediterranean Research Center (Alex Med) at the BA organizes a lecture entitled “The Influence of Waqf on Education in Alexandria in the Ottoman Period” on 29 November 2018, at 2:00 pm, in the Auditorium. It is delivered by Dr. Ayman Ahmed Mahmoud, Associate Professor of Modern History t the Faculty of Arts, Suez University, and Senior Researcher at the BA, and commented on by Dr. Mervat Assaad Atallah, Professor of Modern and Contemporary History, and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education, Alexandria University.
This lecture comes as part of the first cultural season of the center that is titled “Alexandria, the cultural center for the dissemination of science and civilization in Egypt and the Mediterranean over the centuries.” It is also the last lecture of the first cultural season.
