The Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies at the BA organizes a lecture entitled “The Contribution of Science and Technology in Understanding Cultural Heritage”, on Thursday, 10 January 2019, at 12:00 pm, in the Auditorium. It is delivered by Dr. Yasser El-Shayeb, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University.
The lecture discusses how information technology and communication can contribute to knowing more about different cultures, and how using modern technologies can help disseminate and exchange information on cultural heritage sites. The second part of the lecture will highlight the successful endeavors of employing new technologies in the tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, as well as the Pyramids of Giza and Dahshour.
