The Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Italian Embassy in Cairo have jointly organized the seminar “Egyptian Stones and Statues in the Roman Empire”. Among the many Egyptian and Italian experts attending, Dario Del Bufalo, an Architect from the University of Lecce, will talk about “Egyptian Marble Caves in the Roman Empire”. Dr. Lucreia Ungaro, Director of the Imperial Arenas in Italy will talk about “Egyptian Marble in Roman Arenas”. From Egypt, Mrs. Mona Haggag, Archeologist, will discuss “Incantation stones in Roman Egypt: the Meaning of Raw and Colors”. Representing the Greco-Roman Museum in Alexandria, Mrs. Mervat Sief El Din, Archeology expert, will talk about “Relief Figures from Alexandria”.
