The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing and hosting the conference on "Hegemony and the Culture of Fear", in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Culture and the Latin Academy.
This conference aims at establishing a forum for the exchange of ideas and opinions on contemporary global events and their effect on trends of cultural and intellectual exchange around the world.
Discussions will tackle issues like how the world currently lives in fear after the events of 11 September, as well as the prospects of exchanging cultural dialogues and preventing different cultures from clashing.
