The BA Main Library Department, in cooperation with the UNESCO, organizesAbu Simbel Sun Festival. Dina Bakhoum, an Expert in the Restoration of Historic Buildings and Monuments, and Dr. Omar Fikry, Head of the BA Planetarium Science Center (PSC), and Mr. Hossam Nasr, Ph.D. Researcher in History, will deliver keynote lectures in the event. The Event includes a screening of a documentary entitled Nubia Campaign, which highlights the efforts of UNESCO in dismantling and transferring the temple threatened by the rising waters of the Aswan High Dam. It also features a photo exhibition that highlights the stages of preservation of the temple, adopted by UNESCO in cooperation with the Egyptian government.
