On the occasion of the International Women’s Day (8 March) and Egyptian Women’s Day (16 March), the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is organizing a series of seminars (starting at 5 pm):- 8 March: Seminar on the accomplishments of Egyptian women; featuring Dr. Emad Abou Ghazi.
- 9 March: Seminar on women’s contribution to theater; featuring Dr. Essam Abdel Aziz.
- 10 March: Seminar on women’s contribution to plastic arts; featuring Dr. Sereya Sedky.
- 11 March: Seminar on women’s contribution to literature; featuring Dr. Hoda Al Sada.
- 12 March: Seminar on women’s contribution to television; featuring Mr. Ossama Anwar Okasha, the scriptwriter.
- 13 March: Seminar on women’s contribution to the art of ballet; featuring Dr. Neveen Al Kilani.
- 14 March: Seminar on women’s contribution to cinema; featuring Mr. Samir Farid.
In addition, the BA Arts Center is also presenting films directed by Inas El Degheidy, the Egyptian female director, during the week (starting at 6 pm).
