This lecture will be given by Dr. Ahmed Ghanem, assistant professor of Greek and Roman History at the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, as part of the BA Coptic Studies Center’s cultural program.
The lecture will discuss the history of the struggle of Christianity since its emergence by presenting the most important events that occurred during the early history of the Roman empire (27 BCE–284 CE ) and how Christianity was forced into this long struggle with ancient pagan beliefs and also with Judaism, which was widespread throughout the Roman Empire.
