This lecture will be given by Dr. Osama el-Nahas, an archaeological inspector at the Ministry of Archaeology and a fellow of the National Defense Academy at Nasser High Military Academy. The lecture is part of the Writing and Scripts Center’s cultural season. It will discuss how monuments and archeological inscriptions reflect the cultural and religious identity of Egypt and how they helped prevent the Egyptian culture from assimilating to the cultures of invading countries. The lecture will also discuss the importance of including Egyptian monuments and heritage in the state’s strategic plan due to their obvious role in maintaining the country’s cultural and religious identity.
